Reactions:
– Feels like D&D
– Granamyr’s design could have been a little better. (A helmet? Really?)
– Awesome moral!
– Though not exciting and not well designed, it is a fantastical episode with a solid story.

Memorable Moment
He-man told Teela they couldn’t chop down the tree.

My-larr

Reactions:
– Feels like an old school D&D adventure!
– Suffers from design issues and unnecessary comedy.
– I like Granamyr’s attitude.

Memorable Moment
ACTUAL sword fighting!

Trinket

Reactions:
– Nice magic item.
– Skeletor’s sword morphs throughout episode.
– Spiney dogs from Willow?
– “Mc” magic. Sigh.
– Just how DO they free Man-At-Arms?
– Workable, interesting plot – just kind of half-assed.

Memorable Moment
Classic AD&D adventure feel!

– This ^
– Extremely creepy episode.
– How did she just jump through the grate?
– Perfect example of how the moral should not be the episode, but reflect on the episode.
– The Starchild looks like she’s draw from another cartoon show entirely.
– I like the Tree People and the Cave Dwellers; they are the only cool thing about this story because they add to the world.

Memorable Moment
None.

My-larr

Reactions:
– This episode is like a D&D game where the DM doesn’t know what to run and fills the session with pointless skill checks.
– Where ARE they? THAT’S what’s under the castle!?
– Not completely horrible, but won’t watch again.
– Capitol B-O-R-I-N-G
– Wasted concept on a nothing plot.

Memorable Moment
The moment the PSA ended.

Trinket

Reactions:
– That loincloth the middle guy is sporting in the opening scene is barely covering his crotch.
– Why is Teela, the Captain of the Royal Guard, so GIRLISH in this episode?!
– Boring.
– Almost a 1 star.
– The Starchild looks like Dolphin Boy from Sealab 2021

“Tickle Trap”. Are. You. Serious? WTF?!

Teela-TheStarchild07

Willen: Wait! That’s a tickle trap. If you attack it squirts a liquid that could be very dangerous to humans. But if you tickle it… it lets go!

Teela: [Teela has been released] Phew! I like a plant with a sense of humor.

Reactions:
– YMCA sailors!
– Flagship too “modern”
– Razor fins!
– Teela’s dive should have broken her ankles.
– I like how it’s about a legitimate concern: the story isn’t about a dumb wizard who got himself into a mess; it’s about a scientific mission gone awry.
– The dad looks like Ricardo Montablan!
– The episode itself would be a 2 star, but the majority of it is in water, which hasn’t been seen yet!
– Kraken pretty cool.

Memorable Moment
Didn’t realize that Battle Cat wasn’t in this episode until Cringer pointed it out himself at the end!

3star

My-larr

Reactions:
– Sound tastes bad to animals? LOL
– Not a great episode, but VERY different.
– Plot isn’t that interesting, but it’s for a very good reason: it’s realistic!
– How does Mer-man know about the VHO anyway?

Memorable Moment
He-man breaks the 4th wall!

4star

Trinket

Reactions:
– Actual science within the episode itself (about animals and sound)!
– Mid-drifts AHOY!

– THAT’S a kraken?! More like Chicken of the Sea! It does have an homage to Ray Harryhausen’s kraken from Clash of the Titans…so I’ll let this one slide….
– The plot behind a science team being stranded with animals looming near and supplies running out is very horror-movie like!

Memorable Moment
Teela’s questioning expression at Adam on the raft.

4star

Keggor

Reactions:
– Dynamic flood scene.
– More new backgrounds and Eternian landscape which expands the world.
– A very “Conan the Barbarian” episode!
– No BS, just story.
– Why are Adam and Cringer hanging out in a jungle that is SO far away that people don’t know who He-man is?

Memorable Moment
It’s just He-man, Battle Cat and ALL NEW characters!

My-larr

Reactions:
– Just gets right to the story.
– Love the new places and kingdoms!
– A great generic fantasy plot.
– Amnesia – the WORST plot device ever.
– Garn should have been a good candidate for an ongoing character, but he’s not interesting enough.
– No resolution with the bad guys. What happened? Where did they go?

Memorable Moment
Garn’s reaction when Battle Cat speaks.

4star

Trinket

Reactions:
– The bird guys are cool!
– Why is it assumed that the “girl” is innocent? Those bird guys look like some sort of guards chasing after a thief!
– Apparently 4 inch stiletto heels are proper attire for jungle queens.
– Nicely expands Eternia.
– Amnesia used twice now – come. on.
– *rolls eyes* Can we NOT vilify black people? Look at this:

I don’t want to mention the rest of her physique. Some of the first black people in this show and their drifting towards stereotypes. Garn is supposed to be black, too? He looks just enough “ethnic” to pass, but just “white” enough to be a “good guy”. UGH.

Memorable Moment
The realization that there are still places on Eternia where He-man is a myth!
